A Daily Ritual is EssentialJapa Meditation Practice is a powerful daily ritual using a mala, a prayer garland with 108 beads and a 109th "guru bead". This practice helps eliminate stress, anxiety, and will raise your vibrations to align your thoughts with what you want to manifest.
How to Use Your Mala in Meditation
The mala is traditionally held in the right-hand. It's also okay to hold your mala in your left-hand because it’s your receiving hand. Drape your mala over your middle finger, ring finger, and pinky finger. Use the thumb to rotate the mala one bead at a time toward oneself. Recite your mantra combined with an inhale and exhale with each bead. The index finger is never used to touch the mala as it represents ‘ego’. Ego is the greatest impediment to one’s self-realization. End your meditation on the guru bead by giving thanks.
